Oak Hall School

Board of Directors

Oak Hall School is organized as a not-for-profit corporation which was certified in the State of Florida in 1970. The governing body of Oak Hall School is the Board of Directors. At present the Board consists of 14 members, including present parents, past parents, and alumni who serve two-year, renewable terms. Board members come from a broad range of professions and backgrounds, but they share in common a love for and dedication to the school.

The overall responsibility of the Board is to advance the mission of the school and secure its long-term future. The Board leads the strategic planning process, sets major school policies, hires and evaluates the Headmaster, and has fiduciary responsibility for the school. There are six standing committees: Executive, Finance, Committee on Trustees, Advancement, Facilities and infrastructure, and Audit.

Kirsten Rowe


Kirsten RoweKirsten Rowe is an attorney, mediator and professor. A graduate of the University of Florida, she and her husband, Scott, have lived in Gainesville since 2004, and are parents of two daughters, currently in the Middle School and Lower School at Oak Hall.
Kirsten serves on the Oak Hall Board of Directors as a member of the executive committee, and as chair of the Committee on Trustees. In addition, Kirsten serves on the Board of Directors for the Sebastian Ferrero Foundation, benefiting pediatric healthcare services at UF Health Shands Children's Hospital, and in 2013, was appointed by Gov. Rick Scott to serve on the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 8th Judicial Circuit.

Kirk Klein

Vice President

Kirk KleinKirk Klein is a Managing Partner of Koss Olinger, a wealth management firm founded in Gainesville, FL in 1969. He oversees the operations of the business as well as helps clients manage and preserve their wealth. He has a background in finance and marketing from Illinois State University. He currently serves as the Chair of the Oak Hall Advancement Committee and is also a member of the OHS Finance committee. Kirk and his wife Michelle, live in Gainesville with their three children, Shailey (7th grade), Mackenzie (4th grade), and William (2nd grade), all of whom attended Oak Hall since pre-kindergarten.

Karin Montini


Karin MontiniKarin Montini taught elementary and middle school mathematics in both public and private schools. She attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education, studying in the School Leadership & Development program. Outside the classroom, she has worked mentoring teachers at the Teacher Training Institute, as a program writer for IvyTown Educators, Inc., and developing curriculum for Kaplan K-12 Learning Services.
Karin serves as a member of the Executive Committee and as chair of the Head Support & Evaluation Committee. She and her husband, Reid, have two boys who have attended Oak Hall since pre-kindergarten.  

Tim Broom

Tim BroomTim Broom is the Co-founder and CEO of ITProTV. Prior to developing ITProTV, he spent 15 years of his professional career in the learning and certification training industry.
As an entrepreneur who has a passion for empowering others through learning of Information Technology, Tim focuses on bringing learning opportunities to all of those that desire, from around the world. Tim brings a global perspective on learning and technology to the Oak Hall Board, and has served on the board since 2010. He and his wife Denise have three daughters, currently in the Upper School and the Middle School, that have attended Oak Hall since Pre-K.

Svein Dyrkolbotn

Svein DyrkolbotnSvein Dyrkolbotn has over 15 years of development experience as principal owner of Viking Companies. Svein has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Florida and is a licensed general contractor in the State of Florida (CGC1517065). He has been developing residential projects in the Gainesville area for a number of years, including highly acclaimed Campus View. Dyrkolbotn has developed and managed over 2,000 multi-family units for Gainesville based Davis & Sons across the Southeast United States. Svein is actively engaged with the Gainesville Chamber of Commerce and local public/private initiatives to improve transportation mobility within Alachua County. Recently, Svein secured the entitlements for Celebration Pointe, which, when fully built-out, will be comprised of approximately 1,000 residential units and 1,000,000 square feet of commercial space.
Born in Bergen, Norway, Svein was a member of the Norwegian National Basketball Team before moving to Florida in 1990 as an Oak Hall High School exchange student staying with the Davis family in Newberry, Florida. Svein was a scholarship athlete who played four years of college basketball for the University of Florida, including a trip to the Gators first Final Four in 1994. He and his wife, Heather, continue to pass on the Oak Hall tradition within their family, as their three daughters are attending Oak Hall.

Chad French

Chad FrenchChad French is an entrepreneur with businesses in marketing, construction, and real estate. His claim to fame is PeerFly, an internationally renowned and award-winning online marketing company headquartered in Alachua. He currently serves on the Oak Hall Advancement Committee where he brings his many years of online marketing expertise. Chad, and his wife Corinna, live in Gainesville with their three children: Logan (6th), Ava (1st), and Koa (Pre-K) – with the latter two attending Oak Hall.

Larry Gleim

Larry GleimLarry Gleim is President of Gleim Internet, Vice President of Gleim Publications, President of Coral Acoustics, which produces electricity from solar panels, and a cofounder of Gleim Conferencing, which is a startup technology company in the education industry. He has over 20 years of experience in business and information technology. He especially enjoys using the Spanish he learned at Oak Hall to coordinate International Sales. Larry lives with his wife Aminta and their three daughters. He is an Oak Hall alumnus and graduate of the University of Florida.

Jennifer Hunt

Jennifer HuntJennifer Hunt serves as Chief Financial Officer of CAMPUS USA Credit Union, headquartered in Jonesville. She joins the Oak Hall Board of Directors as Chair of the Finance Committee.
Jennifer earned a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a Master's Degree in Accounting, both from the University of North Florida. Jennifer is a Certified Public Accountant and formerly served as CFO for Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU).
Jennifer and her husband Ken have two sons enrolled at Oak Hall - Matthew (Grade 10) and David (Grade 6).

Randall C. Jenkins, Esq.

Randy Jenkins

Randy Jenkins is the administrator for the University of Florida, FSU, UCF, FIU and FAU professional liability entities created to protect the State of Florida healthcare providers and the Shands Gainesville and Jacksonville hospitals. Mr. Jenkins is a member of the Florida Bar and primarily practices professional liability and insurance defense. Randy and his wife Jaime, live in Gainesville with their two children, Lindsay (7th grade) and Matthew (3rd grade), both of whom have attended Oak Hall since pre-kindergarten. Randy is also an Oak Hall alumnus.

Dr. Charles Lane

Dr. Charles Lane
Charlie Lane is the University of Florida’s Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, responsible for overseeing university operations, including Business Affairs, Information Technology, Human Resources, Internal Audit, and Real Estate. He was appointed to the position in March 2014. Charlie holds a doctorate in public administration. He came to UF from the University of Southern California. Prior to that, he worked at the University of Houston, lntermedics, Inc., and Texas Instruments, Inc. Charlie and his wife, Natasha, live in Gainesville with their daughters, Grace (1st grade) and Hope (pre-K), both of whom attend Oak Hall.  

Denise Rosenberg

Denise RosenbergDenise Rosenberg is a professional photographer based in Gainesville, Florida. She has been active in philanthropic causes including the University of Florida, the American Cancer Society, the Children's Home Society, and the Gainesville Fisher House, where she serves on the Board of Directors. Denise and her husband, Jason, have four children and have been a part of the Oak Hall family for over 10 years.

Sonya Salkin

Sonya SalkinSonya Salkin is the founding partner of The Salkin Law Firm, a boutique bankruptcy firm practicing in Fort Lauderdale and Gainesville.  She was appointed to the panel of United States Bankruptcy Trustees for the Southern District of Florida and has served as a Panel Trustee for the past twenty years. Sonya graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington and Washington University School of Law.   In addition to serving on the Oak Hall Board of Directors, Sonya also serves as an executive board member of Congregation B’nai Israel.
Sonya has four children Jessica (’06) who attended the University of Missouri, Zachary (’12) who attended Boston College and is currently attending University of Florida Levin College of Law, Samuel (’14) who attends Amherst College, and Amanda (’22) who is currently in Sixth Grade.

Dr. Katheryn Sarantos

Dr. Katheryn SarantosDr. Katheryn Sarantos has always had a strong passion for helping others. Coupled with her affinity for medicine, she has been serving the Gainesville community as a General Pediatrician for over 25 years. She began her career as a medical student at the University of Florida, where she also completed her residency, focusing on Pediatrics. Dr. Kathy, as her patients call her, teaches both parents and patients the importance of nutrition and exercise. She strives to instill in her patients the value of  living a healthy lifestyle, both spiritually and physically.  Most recently (April 2016), Dr. Kathy and her husband, Surgeon Peter Sarantos, MD were awarded both the North Florida Division and Corporate Level  HCA Frist Humanitarian Award. They were honored for a life long commitment to supporting charitable organizations as well as their hands-on involvement with World Help, a Christian-based organization that provides relief for disparaged populations. The Sarantos' participate in medical missions, community sustainability efforts and host an annual 5K/10K race in Gainesville to benefit relief to the Syrian and Iraqi refugees.
Dr. Kathy has three children, Nicklas, Sydney, both in college and attended Oak Hall School, and Christina, who is currently a student at Oak Hall.

Domenic Scorpio

Domenic ScorpioDomenic Scorpio is the President/CEO of the D.E. Scorpio Corporation, a commercial construction general contracting company. His professional career began in Gainesville in 1995 after receiving an undergraduate degree in Architecture and a graduate degree in Construction Management from the University of Florida. He has delivered many notable projects throughout Central and North Central Florida. Domenic is extremely active in the community and supports many non-profit organizations. He is married to Holly, and has 3 daughters who attend Oak Hall School.
Domenic serves as the Chairman of the Campus Facilities and Infrastructure Committee.
