We welcome you to our campus to experience Oak Hall firsthand whether that be through a tour, open house, or shadow day. We also hope you will join us at any of our athletic events or art performancesthroughout the school year.
We invite you to join us for interactive and engaging activities each month with our amazing teachers and friends! Get ready to learn, think, move, and have fun! Every month we will alternate between our different specials: music and story time, science, and art.
Speak with our Admissions Team afterwards to learn about our 3 and 4 year old programs!
The Admissions Team will send you an confirmation email once you have RSVP'd. We look forward to meeting you!
Beginning in January, our Oak Hall administrators and staff host welcome tours monthly to introduce prospective families and students to the Oak Hall community. Saturday tours allow you to connect with our school division directors and student ambassadors during your tour to help you feel more at home. With snacks, personalized name tags, and lots of friendly faces, Saturday tours are something you don't want to miss!

A shadow day is an opportunity for prospective students entering 6th-12th grade to spend the day at Oak Hall School and experience firsthand what it’s like to be a member of the school community.
Students that shadow are paired with an Oak Hall Student Ambassador who is in the appropriate grade with similar academic, athletic, or elective interests. During your visit, there is the opportunity to meet with teachers and administrators, sit in on classes, and enjoy lunch with future classmates.
Students scheduled for a shadow day are asked to arrive at the Administration Building at 7:50 a.m. for grade 9-12, and 8:00 a.m. for grades 6-8. Admissions Staff will meet you to begin your day as an Oak Hall Eagle. We will then walk you to the division you will be shadowing to complete a quick 20 minute writing prompt. Your student ambassador will meet you at the division front office at 8:25 a.m. and walk you to their first period class.
At 2:45 p.m., your Student Ambassador will bring you to meet with Dr. Diana Murdock, Director of Middle School, or Mr. John Perlette, Director of Upper School, who will walk you back to the Administration Building as your shadow day concludes.
Parents are asked to arrive for pickup at 2:45 p.m.
Students shadowing at Oak Hall School are not required to wear a school uniform, however, are asked to dress appropriately.
Appropriate dress for boys is a collared shirt with pants, jeans, or shorts.
Appropriate dress for girls is a collared shirt or blouse, with jeans, pants, or shorts (5" inseam or longer). Appropriate length skirts and dresses that cover the shoulders may also be worn. Sandals are fine, but no flip-flops.
Middle School students should wear the appropriate dress above and tennis shoes for P.E.
Please note that hooded sweatshirts are not in compliance with Oak Hall School's dress code.
At this time, shadowing students are paired with an elected Oak Hall Student Ambassador who has similar interests in academics, sports, extracurricular activities, etc.
Schedule a Shadow Day
Oak Hall's designated spring 2022 shadow days are now full. With the end-of-year testing season upon us, we have limited shadowing opportunities available. We ask that you call Admissions at 352-332-8714 for a shadow request, and our team will try our best to accommodate your student's visit.
Please note: Due to our smaller classroom sizes, we are only able to accommodate a certain number of shadows in each grade level on a given shadow day. We do this so as not to detract from the quality of our classroom instruction. If we have reached the maximum number of shadows for a certain date, we will notify you via e-mail with other available shadow dates. Your shadow reservation is not complete until we have confirmed your request. Shadow forms must be received 48 hours in advance of the requested shadow date.
