As we embark on the 49th year of Oak Hall Athletics, it is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year. Oak Hall Athletics has grown from offering one sports team, a flag football team in 1970, to offering fourteen sports in 2019. These programs play an essential role in teaching young men and women to conduct themselves with integrity and honesty, and to strive for excellence, persevere through adversity, and compete with pride and dignity while developing a commitment to teamwork and to the Oak Hall community.
I have been a coach at Oak Hall for over twenty-five years, and I strongly believe in the value of high school sports. My coaching philosophy is to support and mold athletes to acquire attributes that promote teamwork, humility, sportsmanship, and resilience in a positive and winning environment. Sports are an opportunity for students to build friendships, have successes and failures, and create wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. It is the goal of the Oak Hall Athletic Department to provide your student with an atmosphere of competitiveness, hard work, sportsmanship, and positivity to grow as an athlete.
Each athlete needs to complete a Ticket to Play online for the 2019-2020 school year. All information and directions are available online at Ticket to Play. A ll new students (7-12) and all rising sixth graders will need to provide a paper copy of their birth certificate to the Athletic Office before their clearance to practice can be completed. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or Buffy McTureous at email@example.com .
I hope you are excited as we approach another school year of Eagle athletics. I am honored to be the new Director of Athletics at Oak Hall School, and I will work diligently to promote the integrity and values of our athletic program.
