During the game against St. Francis, Lindsay J., sophomore, had 3 goals, while Ayesha K. & Gabby A., both sophomores, and Kiley J., senior, each had a goal. Four of our boys lacrosse players signed letters of commitment to play college lacrosse: Kyle Cox (Mercer University), Jack Limon (Hampden-Sydney College), Ryan O’Leary (University of North Carolina), and Bradley Vincent (Rollins College). Oak Hall has now had 13 boy’s lacrosse players commit to play at the next level since 2013.

Kyle Cox will head to Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Cox, a Captain for the Eagles, has recorded 175 career points including a single season school record of 100 as a Junior. He has netted 62 goals and dished out 113 assists. He also holds school single season records in assists with 69 (2018) and assists in a single game with 9. Cox is ranked 5th in the country for assists. He also has 86 ground balls. Cox was a first team all-area selection for The Gainesville Sun in his 10th and 11th grade seasons and plays club lacrosse for the Florida Generals and Sweetlax Florida. He is a varsity letter winner in lacrosse for three seasons, swimming for one, and golf for four. Off the field of play, Cox has been trusted by his peers to serve as a class officer for three years and is a three-year member of the school honor roll.

Jack Limon committed to Hampden-Sydney College in Hampden-Sydney, Virginia. Limon, a defenseman for the Eagles, owns a school record for most groundballs in a game with 12 (2018 playoff game versus Jacksonville Bolles). For his career, he has 205 ground balls, good enough for third in school history entering his Senior season. Limon has caused 68 career turnovers, netted 12 career goals, and dished out 9 career assists. He is a two-time member of The Gainesville Sun first team all-area squad and received honorable mention recognition as a freshman. On the club lacrosse fields, he competed for Sweetlax Florida as a sophomore and a junior and has played for the Florida Generals since 2013. Limon has been awarded three varsity letters in lacrosse and is a four-year starter for the Eagle soccer team. A member of the National Honor Society, Limon has also earned honor roll status for his entire high school career. He was a class officer as a sophomore.

Ryan O’Leary will join the Tar Heels of the University of North Carolina. O’Leary, a Captain for the Eagles, has 187 career points including 96 in his 2018 campaign. This was bolstered by a 10-point performance against Forest High School in the 2018 District Championship Game, a single game school record. He has scored 65 career goals to go along with 119 career assists. As a Junior, he assisted on 61 goals, which is the second most in OHS school history for a single season. O’Leary has been in on 137 career ground balls and caused 26 turnovers. He is a two-time member of The Gainesville Sun first team all-area squad. He plays on the Florida Generals club team and played for Team Florida. In addition to three varsity lacrosse letters, O’Leary has received three varsity letters in golf and one in football. Off the field, O’Leary has been a member of the school honor roll for his entire upper school career including the high honor roll as a Junior. He is a three-year member of the National Honor Society, two-year member of the Science National Honor Society, and a one-year member of the National Spanish Honor Society.

Finally, Bradley Vincent will head south on the Florida Turnpike to Winter Park to play lacrosse for Rollins College. A second team all-area selection by The Gainesville Sun following his Junior campaign, Vincent has 52 career points with 33 goals and 19 assists. He plays his club ball for the Florida Generals and was selected to Team Florida and Brine Regional Programs. A three-year letter winner in lacrosse, Vincent has also participated in swimming for two seasons and Varsity Soccer for four. He has been a member of the school honor roll for his entire upper school career and was elected by his peers to serve as a member of the Honor Council during his 9th and 10th grade years. He is a member of the Science National Honor Society, an officer for the Spirit Club, and was previously a member of the Spanish Club.

In thinking about their future, the teammates remarked that “being able to put pen to paper to fulfill our dreams of playing college lacrosse alongside each other means everything to us. Thank you to the Oak Hall community, coaching staff and all the players who have worn the OHS jerseys before us who put us in a position to be successful. Also, thank you to our parents and families for the efforts and sacrifices made along the way for this to happen.”

Congratulations, Eagles! 🦅
